Humble Boy

Synopsis

Humble Boy is an award-winning comedy written by Charlotte Jones and it was first performed at the National Theatre in 2001. The play presents a real challenge to our six actors - and also to our design and technical team! The action takes place in the garden of a family home over a few weeks in the summer, combining comedy with pathos as the two families "The Humbles" and "The Pyes" come together. Described by The Daily Telegraph's Charles Spencer as "Rich, original, intelligent, funny and touching, bursting with ideas and characters you come to care about deeply."
