Mark first dreamt of a life onstage after taking on the role of Prince Charming in a school production of Cinderella at six years old. However, life and family circumstances took his career ambitions in a different direction, and for more than forty years Mark found success in broadcasting as a Radio and TV presenter and producer. He still presents a weekly radio show some years after retiring from full time broadcasting to focus on his first loves of writing and drama. He has also been fortunate to realise some of his early acting ambitions over the years in undertaking several professional roles including Pantomime, TV favourites 'Brookside' and 'Poldark' and the 1990’s cult British film 'Human Traffic'.
Mark is also the author of three novels, including his latest publication, 'An Oath Betrayed'. He has written several award winning plays and Pantomimes which are available through his publisher, 'Lazy Bee Scripts' including 'A Life Sentence'. His scripts are regularly produced and performed both at home and abroad. Mark is married with three children and four grandchildren. He has recently joined the Actonians and is thoroughly enjoying being part of the team and their ongoing success as a local and community led drama group.
